Hey, That's Not In English mix

I'm terrible with languages. I suck at languages. I took four years of high school Spanish (granted, the text books were from the seventies, but I got awfully familiar with Lupe and Paco) and I aced four semesters of college conversational Italian - and I can basically order a beer. Maybe. That's actually pushing it. But ANYWAY, here's some songs that I have absolutely no idea what they're saying, but they're catchy and I like to sing along with them anyway. Comment if you download - enjoy!

Downloading! I'm really excited about this because I do the exact same thing. I mean, I didn't even study a useful language anyway, I took four years of latin! But for some reason I can't stop listening to catchy songs in other languages either.

Thanks! I'm a big fan of foreign bands that sing in their native tongue.

I just finished listening to this, and it is really awesome! I really love non-English songs, but don't really have that many, so this was really great. I also love how upbeat they are. Thanks for posting them!

I think it's kind of a rule that language textbooks always have to be between 20 and 30 years out of date, my French book is full of seriously awful 80s hair.

On my fourth year of taking French, the only things I can say are snowman, Chinese food, unicorn and vampire. Seriously. And maybe two verbs. Incorrectly.

Also, vampire is cheating because in French it's just vampire (but pronounced more like vam-peer).

Seriously, my best friend and I took it together and we still remember how Paco wanted his walls painted ORANGE and they all had awesome high-waisted bell-bottoms on :)

Okay, usually I know at least a few of your picks, but I am clueless. Yay for... I was going to say "newness," but that's too painful even for me. Thx ;)

I just had to check this out! I love languages, but I totally suck at them, which is why I took Spanish, Japanese, and Russian in college, and mostly I just know how to buy stuff in Russian and order food in Spanish : )
